All applicants must be of age 17 and above, and must obtain one of the following requirements:
For Year 1 entry
- MDIS International Foundation Diploma in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Art OR
- At least two GCE 'A' Levels OR
- Relevant foundation diploma qualifications in Information Technology related disciplines awarded by other Private Education Institutions (PEIs) (equivalent to pathway programme) with an entry requirement of 10 years of formal education OR
- MDIS International Foundation Diploma in Information Technology
For Year 2 entry
- Relevant diploma level qualifications in Computer Science/Information Technology/Cybersecurity related disciplines awarded by other Private Education Institutions (PEIs)(equivalent to 1st year EDP) with an entry requirement of 12 years of formal education*^
For Year 3 entry
- Relevant local/overseas polytechnic diplomas in Information Technology related disciplines with an entry requirement of 10 years of formal education OR
- Higher National Diploma level qualifications in Information Technology related disciplines OR
- Relevant PEIs qualifications (equivalent to 1st and 2nd year EDP) in areas related to Information Technology with entry requirement of 12 years of formal education
Students are required to complete a self-study bridging module, Object-Oriented Programming, as part of the entry requirements for the Year 2 of the B.Sc. (Hons) Artificial Intelligence programme. This module is offered at no additional cost, and comprehensive course materials will be provided either through a local or international MDIS sales representative.
To fulfil the prerequisites for direct entry into the programme’s Year 2, students must complete a multiple-choice quiz comprising 10 questions and achieve a passing score. The application deadline for signing up and completing the MCQ quiz is two weeks before the class commencement date. This module is designed to support students in building a foundational understanding necessary for advanced studies in Artificial Intelligence.
