Career Assistance Unit: Job opportunities for MDIS students and alumni
Singapore’s job market has a gloomy outlook for 2017. Data released by Ministry of Manpower (MOM) showed that the slowing economy has been affecting job seekers, especially so for the unemployed. They are taking a longer time to find jobs.
Amidst this background, the silver lining is that many Multinational Companies (MNC) and start-ups choose to set up their operations in Singapore. This brings a stable creation of jobs to the market. According to a survey released by recruitment firm, Robert Walters, the Information Technology industry’s job prospects are good, as more companies are going digital and integrating IT into their work processes.
This is where the MDIS’ Career Assistance Unit (CAU) steps in to render their services.
The Career Assistance Unit (CAU) in MDIS has been reaching out to companies, from various sectors, for job opportunities for MDIS students and alumni. Despite the slowing economy and decrease in job vacancies, our established partnerships with companies will bring us first-hand hiring opportunities for our graduates and alumni.
CAU was formed specially for MDIS students and alumni with these objectives:
• To train and equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to increase their chances of securing job
• To create channels or links to assist students/members in their job search
• To provide students with the opportunity through the internship program to be exposed to the corporate world while studying
CAU Services hosts immediate job vacancies from its partnering employers for MDIS students and members. Members/students can contact or email their resumes directly to the respective employers for the selection.
